Jupyter Notebook Assignment PDF: A Submission Checklist for Students
Create a clean Jupyter notebook PDF for college assignments: run all cells, add your name and roll number, a table of contents, page numbers, and hide unneeded cells.
Quick answer: Restart and run all cells, then open the .ipynb in ipynbtopdfscanner. Add your name and roll number under Title & footer, turn on Table of contents and Page numbers, hide any scratch cells, check the preview and press Download PDF.
Before you convert
- Restart & run all (Kernel → Restart Kernel and Run All Cells, or Runtime → Run all in Colab). This proves the notebook runs top to bottom and saves fresh outputs.
- Delete or hide scratch cells and huge debug prints.
- Add a markdown heading for each question (# Question 1, # Question 2…), so the table of contents and PDF bookmarks are useful.
- Save the notebook.
Make the PDF
- Open ipynbtopdfscanner and choose your notebook.
- Under Title & footer, add your name and an extra line such as “Roll no. 21CS045 · Data Science Lab”.
- Turn on Table of contents and Page numbers.
- Optional: Start each # heading on a new page, so every question begins on a fresh page.
- Choose Layout → Jupyter (as is) if your teacher wants the original Jupyter look with In [ ] labels.
- Check the page preview, then press Download PDF.
Final checklist
- Name, roll number and course are on page 1.
- No code or table is cut off at the right edge.
- All outputs (charts, tables) are visible.
- Pages are numbered, and the file name is clear (e.g.
21CS045_Assignment3.pdf).
Skip the setup: convert your notebook to PDF in your browser, free and private.
